Shirley (Bowman) McHone

January 22, 1946 – August 14, 2025

Shirley Ann McHone, 79, of Surry County, North Carolina, passed away on August 14, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on January 22, 1946, to the late Raymond Bowman and Lena Clement Bowman.

Shirley dedicated many years of her life working for Hanes Hosiery. She will be remembered for her love of family, her kind spirit, and the many ways she touched the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Chriscoe (Sharon); her daughter, Sherry Nunes (Tomas); two grandsons, Ricky Chriscoe II and Richie Chriscoe; a granddaughter, Cherylenna Taylor (Daniel); and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Taylor. She is also survived by her brothers, Larry Bowman and Billy Bowman (Karen); sisters, Shelby Bowman, Vicky Gunnell, Sandy Bowman, and Beverly Caudle; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey McHone; her parents, Raymond and Lena Bowman; a daughter, Tammy Chriscoe; and a brother, Gary Bowman.
