Sylvia Elaine Sullivan Marsh, 76, of Westfield, passed away at Novant Forsyth Medical Center on April 17, 2021. Born December 5, 1944, she was the daughter of Frank and Edith Simmons Sullivan. Left behind to cherish her memory are, daughter and son-in-law, Tammy (Bobby) Wilmoth; two sons and daughter-in-law, Randy (Lisa) Marsh, Danny Franklin Marsh; a sister, Doris Conaway; four grandchildren, Brandy Burgess, Crystal Mabe, Brooke Rierson, Samantha Garrett; seven great-grandchildren, Allie, Blake, Dawson, Chloe, McCrae, Eli, and Ethan; and a very dear friend, Janice Sawyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlos Ray Marsh; two brothers, Donnie and Ronnie Sullivan; and a sister, Pat Mounce. Blessed to grow up in a large family, she grew to enjoy family gatherings, even after she married and had children of her own. Fishing with family, listening to gospel music, and cooking for her children, grandchildren and friends were favorite activities for Sylvia. It was said that there would always be a chocolate pie or coconut pie if Sylvia were cooking for the family meals. Her loving manners and warm spirit left an indelible mark on those who knew and loved her and will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends at Cox-Needham Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 6:00-7:00 PM.
