Mrs. Terry Jean Hancock, age 74, of Pinnacle, passed away on September 4, 2022, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center
She was born on September 1, 1948, in Columbus County to the late Edward Proctor McCormick and Barbara Jean Hanes McCormick
Mrs. Hancock worked as a consumer affairs representative for Piedmont Airlines/US Air prior to joining Northern Regional Hospital as a patient registration manager. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pilot Mountain where she served on several committees. Terry was a talented artist and member of the Carolina Artist Guild. She had a love for cats and was an avid sailor, spending much time with her husband on their sailboat at Belews Lake and actively participating in sailboat races in many different parts of the country.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Bill Hancock; sons, Sean Glasgow and Chris Glasgow; stepdaughter, Nicole Barrett; granddaughter Kiera (Eric) McKeeman; great-granddaughter, Suvi McKeeman, and her mother, Barbara Jean McCormick.
Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Mike McCormick..
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 2:00pm at First United Methodist Church of Pilot Mountain with Rev. Jeremy Pegram officiating.
