Mr. Thomas Fowler, age 78, of Lexington, passed away on August 22, 2023, at Village Care of King
He was born on August 18, 1945, in Haywood County, to the late Roy Edward Fowler, Sr. and Dorothy Geneva Bryson Fowler.
Mr. Fowler worked as a truck driver prior to retirement. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and served in the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Fowler enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, and fixing things, but most of all, he loved his grandbabies and his family meant the world to him.
He is survived by his children, Christina Huffman (Mark), Tonya Mahala (James), and Tommy Fisher (Cole); grandchildren, Kristie Fowler, Justin Shaw, Christopher Cannady, Samantha Harrington, Logan Owens, and Brooklyn White; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Joe Fowler (Barbara) and Johnny Albert Fowler (Joyce); and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Lanier; brothers, Roy Edward “RJ” Fowler, Jr., Bobby Joe Fowler and Charles William Fowler; and sister, Sarah Bernice Parker.
There will be a graveside service and interment for Mr. Fowler at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023 at 12:00pm. Pastor Ryan Straarup will be officiating the service.
