Wayne Ray Goins

Mr. Wayne Goins, age 77, of Walkertown, passed away on July 14, 2022 at his home.

He was born on May 26, 1945, in Stokes County, to the late Dillard Goins and Clara Mae Sprinkle Goins.

Mr. Goins worked as a machine operator in the textile industry and was an avid collector of many things, especially coins and cowboy hats.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina (Steven) Browning; grandsons, Neal Holdaway and Jason Browning; granddaughters, Betty Jaynes, Ashley Marshall and Stephanie Browning; twelve great grandchildren; his twin brother, Zane (Betty) Goins; a sister, Opal Goins; special nephew, Tim Goins; special nieces; Katie Goins, Debbie Goins, and Misty Goins; and special friend, Anna Mitchell.

In addition to his parents Mr. Goins was preceded in death by his loving wife and sweetheart, Barbara Goins, who called him “her cowboy”; sons, Davy Goins and Daniel Goins; great granddaughter, Emily Marshall; brothers, George Goins and James Goins; and sisters, Brooksie Goins, Doris Hamlin, and Evelyn Lankford.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 2:00pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel with Pastor Darrell Price officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
