Wesley Frank Whitaker

Mr. Wesley Frank Whitaker, age 54, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at his home. He was born in Forsyth County, on December 2, 1966, to Ralph Edward “Pete” Whitaker and Martha Gwyn Haynes.

Frank left behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Elizabeth Jane Whitaker; his two sons, Jesse Franklin Whitaker, and Wesley James (Brandy) Whitaker; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jesse, Dalton, Dayzee, Pyper, and Jace Whitaker; his mother, Martha Gwyn Haynes; a brother, Paul Everett (Angel Byers); a sister, Wanda Miller; and three nieces, Amanda Dalton, Amber Dalton and Paula Miller.

Mr. Whitaker enjoyed working with his mother's houseplants. Martha said she felt like it was a spa when she opened the door to her house.  Frank was an avid reader of various books.  His mom gave him a Bible, and Frank drew closer to the Lord while he read the Good Book. Frank loved his family and never missed an invitation to a chicken stew or a pig picking.  He was affectionately known to his nieces and nephews as Uncle Frank.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Edward "Pete" Whitaker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cox- Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 2:00 PM.  Friends and family will gather to remember and celebrate Frank’s life.  In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to Cox-Needham to help defray funeral expenses.
