Walter Leon Cain, age 83, of Mt. Airy, NC, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015.
He was born on February 18, 1932 in Surry County, NC to Boyd Lee Cain and Dell Beasley Cain.
Mr. Cain is survived by his wife, Wanda Bohler Brooks; one son, Steve Cain; two sisters, Faye Cain Pendleton and husband, Dan, Gaye Cain Lawrence; two grandchildren, Tyler Cain, Zackery Cain; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his parents, Dell and Boyd Cain; wife of 50 years, Ella Mae Cain; son, Marty Cain; brother-in-law, Dr. Ben Lawrence.
Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Woodville Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Keith Love officiating. Internment will follow at Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
