John Paul Bannister

John Paul Bannister, age 81, of Lambsburg, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home.

He was born on March 10, 1935 in Litwar, WV to the late Alex Bannister and Dorothy Dillon Bannister.

Mr. Bannister is survived by three sons, Paul (Maida) Bannister, Terry (Liz) Bannister, and Thomas (Tootsie) Bannister; nine grandchildren, Dr. Audra (Justin) Pritt, Joshua (Sarah) Bannister, Danielle (Travis) Farmer, Fred (Amanda) Ramsey, Jessica Joyce, Luke Bannister, Andy (Ashleigh) Ramsey, Emily Bannister and Jennifer Bannister; and three great-grandchildren with another on the way.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lou Hatfield Bannister; his parents; and two daughters, Susan Bannister Ramsey and Nancy Jean Bannister.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Travis Farmer for being John’s primary caregiver during his last weeks.
