Lena Mae (Gibbons) Ashburn

Lena Mae Gibbons Ashburn, age 75, of Siloam, NC, passed away on February 9, 2017 at her home.

She was born on May 1, 1941 in Stokes County, NC to the late Romey Alton Gibbons and Beulah Estelle Nunn Gibbons.

Mrs. Ashburn is survived by her son, Jimmy Dale Norman and wife, Janice; a daughter, Elizabeth Ashburn Blevins and husband, Thomas; two brothers, Donnie Gibbons and wife, Geraldine and Ronnie Gibbons; a sister-in-law, Donna Gibbons; three grandchildren, Benjamin Norman, Joch Southern, and Krysta Haymes; and one great-grandchild, Lane Owen.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Polly Ann Norman; a brother, Larry Alton Gibbons; and a sister, Donie Danley.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dale Hawks officiating.

Interment will follow in Brim’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
