Nancy Jane Alley McKinney

July 11, 1938 – June 28, 2015

God has called His angel home.  Nancy Jane, 76, peacefully passed away Sunday morning June 28, 2015 at Walnut Ridge Living Center.  She was born July 11, 1938 in Stokes County to the late Jesse and Chattie Heath Alley.  Nancy Jane was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a homemaker and a dedicated member of Stoney Ridge Baptist Church.  Nancy Jane is survived by her husband, James Arnold McKinney, of the home, three sons, Dean McKinney of Sandy Ridge, NC, David (Marty) McKinney of King, NC, and Darryl (Monique) McKinney of Walnut Cove, NC, and six grandchildren, Matthew (Erika) McKinney, Ashton, Taylor, and Landon McKinney, Miranda (Johnathan) McHone, and Hannah McKinney. Nancy Jane was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, James, Thomas, Henry, Wayne and John; and three sisters, Sadie Mae Goode, Nannie Ola Chatman, and Sidney Ann Collins.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Stoney Ridge Baptist Church, and at other times, the home she shared with her loving husband.  Funeral services with Pastor Darryl Vestal and Rev. Yates Wilkinson will be conducted on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Stoney Ridge Baptist Church immediately following visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3420 Shamrock Drive Charlotte, NC 28215, or Stoney Ridge Baptist Church, 1010 Stoney Ridge Baptist Church Road, Westfield, NC  27053.  The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at Walnut Ridge, Hospice, and Dr. Samuel Newsome.
