Ronnie Andrew Mabe

Ronnie Andrew Mabe, age 69, of King, NC, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Duke Medical Center.

Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved farming and raised tobacco until his health would no longer permit. He retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 30 + years of loyal service. He enjoyed fishing, bluegrass music, and most of all rabbit hunting with his beagles and good friends. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1971.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Watson Andrew Mabe and Ruth Ellen Hicks Mabe.

Ronnie left behind his beloved wife, Nancy Martin Mabe of 50 years; two sons, Andy (Jennifer) Mabe and Randy (Amanda) Mabe; four grandchildren, Brittany Mabe, Ashley Mabe, Allison Mabe, and Riley Mabe; two sisters, Dianne East and Brenda Mabe; one brother, Tony (Debbie) Mabe; three nieces; three nephews; several beloved cousins; and several very special friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Boyles Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Boyles Chapel Primitive Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M with Elder Scotty Marshall and Elder Jeff Whitaker officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery with full military rites provided by King American Legion Post 290.
