I just learned such sad news that Leonard and his precious light is gone from our midst. Such a GOOD man and very generous to everyone. I am pretty sure he already has his days in heaven scheduled with golf or helping the elderly as he helped my parents( Gill&Lucy). RIP dear Leonard.

I was in basic training with Leonard in the 60's and the Reserve thereafter. We had some good times. It was a great time. Looking back, he was a great friend and good person. My thoughts are with all of you.

So sorry to hear about Leonard's passing. He and I served in the Army Reserves together and I have known him most of my life from his days at Surry Drug. He was a great person to be around and always had a kind word. Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Growing up in Pilot Mountain and getting to know Leonard Goins while working with him in the jaycees will always be a wonderful memory. Leonard will be missed by many and Pilot Mountain has lost a great man! Prayers to his family.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family. I am a type 1 diabetic. Back in the late 80's I realized about 9 pm that I didn't have a syringe for my insulin shot that night. I called Leonard & explained my situation. He told me to meet him at the drug store and I could get a pack of syringes. This goes to show the kind caring person he was. I have appreciated his act of kindness all these years. RIP Leonard.

Steve and I were saddened to hear of Leonard's passing, but are rejoicing that he is no longer suffering and is now in his Heavenly Home. Steve will miss seeing him at Pilot Knob Park. We will keep the family in our prayers during this difficult time.
